- Learn to Cry is a continuation on my piece for solo viola I was born afraid. Both pieces deal with the concept of vulnerability and ones ability to avail themselves to someone. In this culture of highly defined gender roles, it's easy for men to put on their blinders and save their emotional release for private occasions, but this proves unhealthy.
